LAS VEGAS (Dec. 8, 2014) — Wheel maker Weld Racing L.L.C. introduced an expanded Rekon off-road wheel line at the recent 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The new wheel designs in the Rekon XT line are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2015.
Weld said with the restructuring, all of Weld's truck lines will now fall under the Rekon Off Road by Weld brand and will include a complete offering of rugged forged performance truck wheels, all made at Weld's Kansas City, Mo., facility.
The Rekon Off Road by Weld product line features products for on- and off-road vehicles, including eight lug applications and the forged one-piece Rekon XT products.
Traditional truck wheels will fall under the Rekon LT product line, Weld said, and the company's direct mount dually wheels will become the Rekon HD line.
A new Area 51 design was on display at the Weld booth at SEMA, which will also be available in a 20x10 inch for eight lug applications. Additionally, a B58 design Bead-Loc wheel was introduced, also in 17x9 inch sizes for five and six lug applications.
