TUCSON, Ariz. (Dec. 2, 2014) — Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. has opened a commercial tires and automotive service center location in Tucson featuring six retail bays and three drive-through commercial bays.
Purcell said this newest location is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Tucson and is equipped with all the necessary equipment to do heavy truck alignments and a roadside assistance service. Additionally, the dealership offers a full line of fleet maintenance services for local businesses.
Purcell did not disclose its investment in the outlet, its second Purcell Tire and Service Center in Tucson and 17th in Arizona.
“The Purcell family is excited to add this important center to our network of facilities across the country,” said Mark Laster, manager of the new Tucson location.
“We are sitting right next to Interstate 10, one of the largest volumes of truck traffic in the country. We will be able to service fleet vehicles with ease, getting them in and out with quick reliable service.”
Along with Purcell's certified staff of trained technicians, the company said there is also a 24-hour tire repair service center. Any new tires purchased from Purcell come with a road-hazard warranty that includes the company's roadside-assistance program.
The company will be hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Dec. 4, with presentations from Jonathan Rothschild, the mayor of Tucson and dealership executives Bob and Juanita Purcell.
Attendees of the event will be able to take a tour of the facility and Purcell will provide a light lunch and hold several prize drawings throughout the day, according to the company.
Purcell Tire and Service Center is a family-owned business that was started in 1936 by Robert M. Purcell. It has expanded to more than 60 locations and also runs six tire retread shops as well.
