LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (Dec. 1, 2014) — Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) is launching its Qwik-Sensor line of tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) replacement components and tools with two promotional offers.
SMP's Qwik-Sensor line covers 94 percent of domestic, European and Asian applications with only three multi-coverage TPMS sensors, according to the company.
The first promotion provides a free TechSmart TPMS Gen II tool (T55003) when customers purchase an assortment of Qwik-Sensor-brand sensors. SMP said the tool — available while supplies last — activates the Qwik-Sensor and also performs ID-cloning and full OE-relearn procedures.
The second offer covers the Qwik-Sensor per/car special, which the company is running through March 31, 2015. When customers buy five sets of Qwik-Sensor multi-coverage TPMS sensors, SMP said they will get an additional per/car set free.
The sensors can be programmed with the TechSmart T55003 TPMS tool, and once activated, can be ID-cloned or OE-relearned depending on a technician's choice. Each Qwik-Sensor is available in two valve stem configurations — metal or rubber — to match the proper application.
Qwik-Sensor TPMS sensors are color-coded for easy identification and come fully assembled out of the box, SMP said.
Phil Hutchens, vice president of Engine Management Marketing for SMP, said the promotions “are just one more way we're supporting our customers in this high-growth TPMS category.”
More information about SMP's Qwik0-Sensor program is available on its website.
Long Island-based SMP supplies independent professional automotive technicians and do-it-yourselfers with replacement parts for engine management ignition, emission and fuel systems as well as temperature control products for domestic and import cars and light trucks.
