BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (Nov. 26, 2014) — BKT Tires Inc. opened an office in Brentwood to serve as the Americas headquarters for OTR tire sales and services.

“The new offices reflect the BKT culture of technology and innovation, offering a state-of-the-art environment for employees to excel,” said Shawn Rasey, president, BKT Tires, who was hired for that position in July.

Sales, marketing, product development, OTR training, engineering, logistics and customer service will all be housed at the Brentwood offices. Brentwood is a southern suburb of Nashville.

“Our goal is offer the best in customer service, training and quality OTR tire products to our growing network of specialized independent OTR tire dealers in North and Latin America,” Mr. Rasey added.

BKT recently designated Trans Harbor Services L.L.C. of Wilmington, Calif. to handle the distribution of BKT-brand OTR tires to West Coast customers from its warehouse near the port of Long Beach.

Additionally, the firm opened its first U.S. warehouse in October 2014 in Wando, an unincorporated community north of Charleston, S.C.

BKT is a subsidiary of India's Balkrishna Industries Ltd., which is considered one of the world's leading specialty tire producers, offering a range of tires for earthmoving, mining, construction, agricultural, industrial, ATV and gardening vehicles.

The company was ranked 41st among the world's tire makers with 2013 sales of $650 million. Sales in North America were $100 million, according to Balkrishna data.

BKT's office for farm tire sales and service remains in Akron.
