ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Nov. 25, 2014) — Tire wholesaler Max Finkelstein Inc. has implemented MAM Software Inc. OpenWebs B2B wholesaler e-commerce solution at its 12-location operation, according to MAM Software.

Max Finkelstein started using the OpenWebs platform in June, MAM said, to integrate and streamline order processing for its dealers. Using OpenWebs allows Max Finkelstein's retail customers who already use VAST software now to search for and purchase tires within one system.

Rochester-based Max Finkelstein operates a dozen warehouse distribution centers throughout the Northeast, including its newest in Boston, opened in October.

“The new system has really allowed us to work more efficiently with retailers by streamlining and simplifying the searching, estimating and sales processes,” said Dale Gallear, director of business for Max Finkelstein.

MAM said the OpenWebs B2B Commerce Platform software is designed to enable businesses throughout the automotive tire and servicing supply chain to collaborate and transact online, 24 hours a day. The system facilitates online collaboration and sales between warehouse distributors, parts stores (jobbers), tire wholesalers and tire and auto service stations and their customers.

Mr. Gallear said the number of Max Finkelstein customers who use MAM's VAST Enterprise software continues to increase and the company found that by using the same platform, its products are more accessible.

John Fischer, vice president of sales and marketing for MAM Software, said since there are more than 3,000 installations of VAST at automotive and tire retailers, wholesalers like Max Finkelstein have recognized that having the same platform can bring “a real competitive edge.

“OpenWebs has emerged as the standard in the industry because it provides the electronic integration and streamlines communications and processes for wholesalers and their customers.”
