NASHVILLE, Tenn.Bridgestone Americas has earned two awards for its online training portal for retail salespeople.
Chief Learning Officer magazine awarded its Learning in Practice Gold Award for Blended Technology to Bridgestone for its consumer tire education website, MyBridgestoneEducation.com. The magazine focuses on solutions for enterprise productivity in the enterprise learning market.
Brandon Hall Group, a research and analyst firm, presented its Gold Award for Best Sales Training Program to Bridgestone's online curriculum.
The MyBridgestoneEd-uca-tion.com website provides techniques and technologies for training, including gamification, video and animation. The company created more than 65 courses on the portal with customized 3D avatars, videos and graphics, covering technology, products, sales and customer service. More than 90,000 courses have been completed since the new site launched earlier this year, the company said.
Our education team is committed to innovating and pushing ourselves to discover and create the best educational opportunities possible for our Bridgestone retailer network, said Gregg Trosper, director, consumer tire education at Bridgestone. He added that the company views its efforts this past year as the perfect springboard to continue to build specialized courses for sales associates and managers in 2015.
In addition to the website's recognition, Bridgestone's consumer tire education promotion video received a 2014 Training Magazine Training Top Video Crystal Award. The video uses quick tempo and humor to motivate associates to use the online education program.
The company said it will continue to expand its online training in 2015 with the addition of a giveaway incentive program to encourage course completion. The more courses associates complete, the more chances they have to win a prize in monthly drawings. Bridgestone said it will be adding more course modules throughout the coming year.
