LAS VEGAS (Nov. 13, 2014) — The Auto International Association (AIA), a segment of the Auto Care Association, presented its 2014 People Awards in Las Vegas Nov. 5 at the AIA Luncheon and Awards Program.

The event was part of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), which coincided with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.
Mort Schwartz of Schwartz Advisors won the 2014 AIA Hall of Fame Award.
Other winners include:

James Bailey
• AIA Lifetime Achievement Award: Steve Lynch, Continental ATE-VDO;

Ted Hughes
• AIA Peter Klotz Person of the Year Award: James “JD” Bailey, Olympus Improved Auto Parts; and
• AIA Young Executive of the Year Award: Ted Hughes, MAHLE Aftermarket Inc.
The AIA People Awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the import automotive aftermarket, the AIA said. The organization's members nominate their colleagues for the awards.
