LAS VEGAS — Jim Krakower, director of system development for JMK Computerized Tire Dealer Information System (TDIS), discusses his company's newly released J-Connect feature at the recent Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
J-Connect connects vehicle service history data to a dealer's website as well as utilizing the QR code system, Mr. Krakower said.
The interface is independent of the software system used on the sales counter and on the web site, JMK said, and ties into the company's “J-Match” to allow mobile device access directly from a windshield-affixed QR code
“This new system is set up to present vehicle service history data from POS systems like Costar, Protractor, Maddenco, ASA, Vast, Freedom Soft, TCS, Andreoli, Tireworks, etc, displayed directly on dealer's B2C website from E-Solutions (Tireweb, Ezytire, Treadmart), 50 Below, Net Driven, TCS or local generation,” Mr. Krakower said.
This feature “tethers a dealer's customers to their shop, giving another reason for loyalty in a market place cluttered with competitors offering parallel 'match the price' vehicle services."
Urbana, Ill.-based JMK Computerized TDIS describes itself as a provider of creative integrated tire and vehicle service business management software system solutions for tire dealerships.
