BOWIE, Md. (Nov. 7, 2014) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) will host seminars in 12 cities for its 2015 Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Advance Instructor Training Tour.
The four-day seminars on the ATS Tour are designed to provide in-depth, hands-on training for tire technicians on proper safety procedures and guidelines for servicing passenger and light truck tire and wheel assemblies, Bowie-based TIA said.
Those who complete the ATS course successfully become TIA Certified ATS Instructors who can then train technicians in their own workplaces, according to Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training.
Over the past few years, TIA has certified more than 400 ATS instructors, making the ATS Tour an unqualified success, Mr. Rohlwing said.
The exact dates and places for the 2015 ATS Tour will be set later, TIA said. Meanwhile, the cities and months for the tour are as follows:
• February 2015: Charlotte, N.C.
• April 2015: San Diego.
• May 2015: Minneapolis.
• June 2015: Wasilla, Alaska, and Denver
• July 2015: Chicago.
• August 2015: Portland, Maine.
• September 2015: Seattle, and Baltimore.
• October 2015: Cincinnati.
• November 2015: Sarasota, Fla., and Phoenix.
