Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s RM238 and RM256 are two of the newest Roadmaster-brand truck tires on display at its booth at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show.

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 6, 2014) – Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. officially launched three Roadmaster-brand commercial truck tires—including the RM852 premium long-haul drive tire, RM872 premium long-haul trailer tire and RM256 premium regional drive tire—during the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.

In addition, Cooper previewed its RM238 premium regional all-position tire, which it said will be available in 2015. It will be available in six sizes at launch.

The RM852 is available in sizes 11R22.5 (load range G), 11R22.5 (H), 295/75R22.5 (G), 11R24.5 (G), 11R24.5 (H) and 285/75R24.5 (G). The tire features 3D micro-gauge siping along with a solid shoulder design that Cooper said offers improved traction. Other features of the tire include uniquely designed tread lugs to resist squirm and promote even wear; a 30/32nd-inch tread depth; large center and intermediate tread lugs for lateral stability; and asymmetric draft groove walls to resist stone retention and extend the life of the tire and casing, Cooper said.

The RM872 tire, the newest addition to Roadmaster's line of SmartWay-verified offerings, is available in four sizes: 295/75R22.5, 11R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 11R24.5, all in load range G.

Cooper said the tire features unique shoulder grooves and micro-sipes that are designed to resist abnormal shoulder wear. In addition, stone ejectors located in the bottom of the tread grooves protect against penetration and help enhance casing integrity, the firm added.

Finally, Cooper launched its SmartWay-verified RM256 tire in sizes 11R22.5 and 295/75R22.5, both in load range G. According to the tire maker, the tread compound is specifically formulated to provide fuel efficiency and traction. All three tires are available now
