RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2014) — Kumho Tire North America Inc. and the National Basketball Association (NBA) have expanded their multiyear marketing partnership that made Kumho Tire the official tire of the NBA and NBA Development League (NBA D-League) to include Canada.
“Kumho Tire is a global company and it just makes sense to extend our support for the NBA into Canada, and we look forward to engaging basketball fans with new custom content and activities at league events throughout the season,” said Harry Choi, Kumho Tire president and CEO. “We've barely gotten our feet wet with the NBA and we are no longer dipping our toes in the water. This season we're plunging in and planning on making a ripple that no industry competitor has made before.”
Since its NBA partnership began in February 2014, Kumho Tire has presented the “NBA Playoffs Playback” series on NBA TV, received national exposure through courtside signage, and developed NBA-themed advertising. Kumho Tire said it will extend its advertising and its future activations to Canada to further leverage the strength of the NBA.
