Enerpulse picks 'Feel Pulstar' program winner

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Oct. 30, 2014) — Enerpulse Technologies, makers of Pulstar with PlasmaCore spark plugs, has announced the grand prize winner in its “Feel Pulstar” Refer-a-Friend program.

As the grand prize winner, Kayla Sims of Malden, Mo., has won a trip for two to attend the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 6-8, which includes airfare, hotel accommodations and ground transportation.

Upon learning she had won the contest, Ms. Sims said she was excited “because my dad and husband are car enthusiasts and I have always been around cars and car shows. Since I've not had the chance to attend the SEMA Show before, this should be a pretty amazing experience.”

Enerpulse said she learned about the promotion through a friend's Facebook page. “When I saw the posting about the contest I decided to enter because my car really needs a new set of spark plugs,” Ms. Sims said.

In addition to winning the trip, Ms. Sims also earned free Pulstar gear and a free set of Pulstar spark plugs. While at the SEMA Show, she and a guest will get to meet Enerpulse spokesman Al Unser Jr. and spend time walking the show floor with him. She also will race him in a go kart at Pole Position Raceway in Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 7.

The “Feel Pulstar” program was held between Aug. 7 and Sept. 30. Participants who signed-up with their email address at the FeelPulstar website received a unique referral link to share with friends. Participants earned one referral point for each friend who followed the unique link and enrolled in the program. Referral points could be accrued to earn Pulstar rewards as various tiers were achieved.

Rewards included Pulstar hats, Fender Grippers, a sets of spark plugs (up to 10) and authentic Pit Crew shirts. Each referral point earned by the participant was counted as additional entries toward the grand prize drawing, increasing their chances to win, Albuquerque-based Enerpulse said.
