KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 28, 2014) — Racing wheel maker Weld Racing L.L.C. will host a variety of celebrity guests during the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas.
Weld said the list of celebrities planning to visit the company’s booth, No. 24957 in the Racing and Performance Hall, will include:
- Formula Drift driver Justin Pawlak, 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.
- Robert “Top Gun” Hight, NHRA Funny Car Champion from John Force Racing, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 5;
- From the Discovery Channel’s “Street Outlaws” program, Justin Shearer (a.k.a. Big Chief) and Shawn Ellington (a.k.a. Murder Nova), 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Nov. 6; and
- Linda Vaughn, the acknowledged “first lady of racing,” 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 7.
The company suggested arriving early at its booth since “all guests are likely to draw a crowd.”

Since 1967, Kansas City-based WELD has designed and manufactured performance wheels for street and track. It is a Granite Creek company which, according to WELD, “invests in businesses with defensible market niches, recognized brands, strong intellectual property and/or manufacturing process assets led by entrepreneurial management teams in food/agribusiness, medical devices and instruments and transportation industry sectors.”
