AVOCA, Pa.Jack Williams Tire Co. has partnered with the Luzern County Community College (LCCC) in Nanticoke, Pa., to offer a training program for general service technicians.
According to Jack Williams, the training program will allow technicians the opportunity to complete a Tire Industry Association (TIA) certification program and will feature hands-on training with the latest equipment by Hunter Engineering Co.
We are looking forward to our partnership with Jack Williams Tire Co., which we hope will benefit students in LCCC's automotive, diesel engine technology and other business-related programs, said Susan Spry, vice president, Workforce and Community Development division, LCCC. Our collaboration with Jack Williams Tire Co. will assist LCCC through its participation on our industry advisory boards and through work-based learning and employment opportunities for our students.
In addition, the firm held a job fair on Oct. 20 at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Bartonsville, Pa., in order to fill positions at several of its own locations.
Available positions range from management level ones to sales associate, automotive technician and general service technician openings at its yet-to-open store in Brodheadsville, Pa., along with other locations in Pocono, Pa., and Lehigh Valley, Pa., the dealership said.
The Brodheadsville store, Jack Williams' 30th location, is slated to open in early December, The outlet will include state-of-the-art Hunter tire and alignment equipment, diagnostic equipment and a well-lit shop area designed for efficiency, Jack Williams said.
