FULLERTON, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2014) — Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. (YRC) has named Takaharu Fushimi, a YRC managing corporate officer, to be CEO of Yokohama Corp. of North America (YCNA), an entity that oversees all Yokohama-related operations in North America.
Mr. Fushimi takes over the CEO duties from Hikomitsu Noji, who continues as president of YRC and representative director, president of YRC tire business, based in Tokyo.
In this new assignment, Mr. Fushimi will be responsible for the strategic operations in North America, as well as oversight of the multiple subsidiaries and business units responsible for sales and marketing, OE business and manufacturing.
This is Mr. Fushimi's second assignment in the U.S.; he was CFO at Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) until 2007, when he returned to Yokohama's global headquarters in Tokyo.
He subsequently assumed various executive posts, including his most recent one as head of OE tire sales and the marketing division for YRC.
Mr. Fushimi will be based in Fullerton, headquarters of YCNA and YTC, the tire maker said.
YCNA oversees sales and marketing, manufacturing, technical development, long-term corporate planning and investment for Yokohama activities in North America, including YTC and Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc.
