BOWIE, Md. (Sept. 23, 2014) — Federated Mutual Insurance Co. will host a webinar for the Tire Industry Association (TIA) on Wednesday, Sept. 24, on the subject of progressive discipline.

Titled “Progressive Discipline: Proactive and Necessary Practices for Every Business,” the webinar will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern time and will be conducted by Boston-based employment services firm Enquiron as part of the Federated Employment Practices Network.

Federated Insurance is the preferred provider of business and workers' compensation insurance for TIA.

Webinar participants will learn about various topics concerning discipline, according to TIA, such as how to identify and prevent problems before they begin, when and how to discipline employees, how to handle attendance issues, and factors that should be considered before and during the process to terminate a worker.

“We are pleased to offer this webinar from Federated's Employment Practices Network to our members,” said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield. “The material that will be covered is relevant to anyone who has a supervisory or management role in the industry and learning about these issues can help reduce a company's liability,”

The complimentary webinar is open to all TIA members; attendees can register online by clicking here.
