GAINESVILLE, Va. (Sept. 19, 2014) — The Hybrid Shop (THS), a network of hybrid-electric vehicle repair and maintenance providers, was named a Gold winner at the 2014 Stevie's American Business Awards, which took place Sept. 12 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.
THS was selected from a pool of more than 3,300 nominations, winning in the New Product or Service of the Year-Consumer Services category. In addition, THS also was recognized as a People's Choice winner at this year's event. People's Choice winners were selected from more than 57,000 votes cast in July and August, according to the company.
“We are thrilled to have achieved a Gold award at this year's Stevie's American Business Awards for the New Product of the Year—Consumer Services category, as well as a People's Choice award for our achievements,” said Matt Curry, chief visionary officer for THS. “This recognition validates our goals and underscores the industry leadership we have achieved.”
Since its founding in 2013, THS said it has achieved “significant recognition as the authority on all things hybrid and cemented its status as a driving force in the automotive industry as a whole.”
As part of the organization's ongoing commitment to industry education, THS will host a complimentary Hybrid Training Day event for shop owners Nov. 3 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas. The training will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be hosted by THS member Ted Wiens Tire & Auto Centers. The event is invitation-only, and registration is required, THS said.
