BOSTON (Sept. 16, 2014) — Openbay Inc., an online and mobile marketplace for consumers to find, book and pay for local auto repair and maintenance services, was named the Innovation of the Year, Mobile App winner by the Mass Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC).
The award was presented during the recent 2014 Technology Leadership Awards. Openbay said Technology Leadership Award winners were chosen from among the best of the region's tech industry in 16 categories.
“The genesis of Openbay was from a personal and unpleasant experience when I brought my car in for service at a Boston dealership. I sought to prevent this experience from happening to others,” said, Rob Infantino, Openbay founder and CEO.
“Building this specialized online marketplace from the ground up has been a labor of love. It could not have happened without the Openbay team's talent, passion and focus on the user experience.”
Winners were selected in each category by an independent panel of judges comprising executives, investors, analysts, media and thought leaders in each of the 16 respective categories, Openbay said.
