NORCROSS, Ga.—Dave Raphael, director of marketing for Mighty Auto Parts, died Sept. 5 of cardiac arrest at age 53.
Mr. Raphael joined Mighty in 2007 after serving as a marketing specialist for Ford Motor Co. and Auto Trader.com Inc. In his time with Mighty, he managed the franchisor's advertising program and led the development of its new car dealership market program.
“Dave was a dedicated member of the Mighty team—thoroughly professional—a warm-hearted ambassador of good will,” said Ken Voelker, president and CEO of Mighty.
Born in Skokie, Ill., Mr. Raph-ael graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in finance and earned an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.
According to Mighty, he was an avid sportsman who enjoyed tennis, running and cycling.
“Of all David's life accomplishments, nothing seemed to give him more of a sense of fulfillment than his role as a husband and father,” Mr. Voelker said.
Mr. Raphael is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lynne; son Sam and daughter Michelle.
