Hybrid Shop adds two Las Vegas locations

LAS VEGAS (Sept. 8, 2014) — Hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) repair and maintenance franchiser The Hybrid Shop (THS) has added two Las Vegas locations through partnerships with Ted Wiens Tire & Auto Centers and Frank's European Service.

Gainesville, Va.-based THS said both dealerships are now certified to perform its hybrid battery pack conditioning service, as well as other HEV-specific maintenance and repairs.

Ted Wiens Tire operates 11 retail locations and three truck tire centers and has been providing the Las Vegas community with “technically advanced services and expertise” for the last 60-plus years, THS said. It has added THS' services at its location on South Rainbow Boulevard in Las Vegas.

As the hybrid market grows, the dealership plans to expand its HEV services, with the goal of opening at least two more THS locations by year-end 2014 and 10 locations over the next two years, THS said.

Noted for its “Golden Wrench” service for European luxury cars and trucks, Frank's European Service has been serving the Las Vegas region for over 24 years, THS said. As of now, customers can receive HEV battery reconditioning service at the firm's location at 704 W. Sunset Rd. in Henderson, Nev.

“The progression towards becoming a full-service hybrid repair shop was natural given our commitment to servicing our customers with the ‘best of' and the growing need for these services in our market,” said Frank Scandura, owner of Frank's European Service.

“THS has allowed us to extend our service line with the use of proprietary technical equipment and further educate customers in our area on how they can continue to enjoy and best maintain their hybrid vehicles.”
