AKRONGoodyear has hired Richard Kellam, previously global chief customer officer with Mars Inc., to be senior vice president, global sales and marketing, and promoted 41-year company veteran Jack Winterton to vice president, global sales and marketing.
The company also named Ryan Patterson, vice president consumer operations and customer development since December 2011, to replace Mr. Winterton as president of North America Consumer.
Mr. Kellamsucceeding Arthur de Bok, who left Goodyear in Marchwill be responsible for establishing a sales and marketing program aligned with the company's focus on working from the market back to enhance the customer and consumer experience, Good-year said.
During 14 years with Mars, he held leadership roles in its North American and European business units.
Mr. Winterton will be a critical leader in the newly created global sales and marketing function, the company said, and will report to Mr. Kellam. He will help lead the alignment of Goodyear's customer-facing capabilities around the world in the development of a global sales and marketing operating system.
Mr. Winterton, 61, has worked in Goodyear's North American Tire business for his entire career, including nearly 30 years in the Kelly-brand business.
Mr. Patterson, 41, has been vice president consumer operations and customer development since December 2011, responsible for guiding the consumer organization's channel sales and customer marketing teams.
In his position as president, North America Consumer, Mr. Patterson will be responsible for management and operation of the company's largest product business unit globally. As a key architect of the North America Consumer strategy for the past two and half years, Mr. Patterson will serve to further implement that strategy throughout the entire consumer business, Goodyear said.
He joined the company in 2002.
