Midas training video picks up Telly award

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Aug. 25, 2014) — A video from TBC Corp.'s Midas Muffler unit has won a 2014 Bronze Telly Award in the training category.

The company's video, “The 10 Midas Way Absolutes,” was created in partnership with Harris Goldman Productions. TBC said it “helps to reinforce dealer success by educating new franchisees on Midas best practices.” Each Midas “Absolute” represents “an important step in the premier automotive and customer service that Midas customers have come to know and trust,” the company added.

“We are extremely proud of this video and the positive results it has produced within our company,” said Brant Wilson, senior vice president of TBC Franchise Group. “Mastering The 10 Midas Way Absolutes is integral for the success of each Midas franchisee and their team. The training that this video provides helps to set Midas apart as a top automotive services franchise.”

The Telly Awards honor the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking Web commercials, videos and films and outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, according to TBC, noting that their mission has been to strengthen the visual arts community by inspiring, promoting and supporting creativity.

The 34th Annual Telly Awards received more than 12,000 entries from 50 states and five continents.

Midas operates more than 2,250 franchised, licensed and company-owned shops in 14 countries, including nearly 1,500 in the U.S. and Canada and also owns the SpeeDee Oil Change business, with 161 auto service centers in the U.S. and Mexico.
