NOVA PRATA, Brazil (Aug. 21, 2014) — Brazilian tread rubber supplier Borrachas Vipal S/A has launched VT160, a snow tread it developed for North American and European markets.
Designed to perform in severe weather conditions, the VT160 tread is “highly adaptable” and “perfect for facing different weather conditions and terrain all in the same trip,” Vipal said.
The firm added that the tire provides rolling stability and safety for heavy vehicles driving in heavy snow and features an angulation that prevents the retention of soil debris and snow.
The tread is available four different widths: 240mm, 250mm, 260mm and 270mm. The depth of all four treads is 20mm, or 25/32nd inch.
Miami-based Vipal Rubber Corp., the U.S. subsidiary, distributes the firm's products in the U.S. and Canada through logistics/distribution centers in Miami, Los Angeles and Norfolk, Va.
Borrachas Vipal distributes in more than 90 countries and has distribution companies in Argentina, Australia, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Slovenia, Spain and the U.S.
