WIXOM, Mich. (Aug. 19, 2014) — Safety systems supplier TRW Automotive Aftermarket, a division of TRW Automotive, has extended its premium brake pad program offerings in North America.
The range extension comprises 17 part numbers and will provide coverage for another 3 million late model vehicles, according to TRW. The total number of references in the program is now more than 830 and covers more than 97 percent of vehicles operating in North America, the firm said.
Applications cover a variety of makes and models, including the 2014 Acura RLX, 2014 Mazda 6, 2014 Cadillac ATS, 2014 Ford Fusion and 2014 Lincoln MKZ.
“Our main objective is to support our customers with the highest quality product and to ensure the safety message reaches every level of the supply chain,” said Mark Thorpe, TRW's product and marketing group manager, TRW Aftermarket North America. “By making sure that our range extensions are both timely and appropriate, and by listening to our customers to ensure that we get the right mix, the market can have complete confidence in TRW.”
TRW said its range of friction materials is available in chamfered, slotted and shimmed designs and includes ceramic and semi-metallic brake pad sets.
