WASHINGTON (Aug. 14, 2014) — With an ongoing, “aggressive recruiting effort” initiated by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the number of lawmakers in the “Class of 2014” for the State Automotive Enthusiast Leadership Caucus has continued to swell.
The SEMA Action Network's Driving Force e-newsletter said the trade group's continued efforts have “once again brought an impressive number of lawmakers” into caucus. So far, 98 new members have signed up this year, bringing the caucus to about 665 members representing all 50 states.
The State Automotive Enthusiast Leadership Caucus was founded in 2005 and has been supported by SEMA. It is designed as a non-partisan group of state legislators “whose common thread is a love and appreciation for automobiles,” according to SEMA.
