Toyo's Road Tour interactive truck will be stopping in 19 cities and 20 dealerships to promote the tire maker's new tires.

ATLANTA (Aug. 13, 2014) — Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. is traveling the country with its “All or Nothing Road Tour” to introduce two new tires to its dealers.

The company is rolling out the Open Country R/T for light trucks and the premium, all-season Versado Noir for sedans and coupes.

Between July 15 and Sept. 10, the Road Tour interactive truck will be stopping in 19 Cities and 20 dealerships to train dealership personnel on the features and selling points of the new tires that will hit the market in September.

The Open Country R/T rugged terrain tire offers off-road performance with on-road comfort for Jeeps and pickup trucks, the company said.

The tire is a compromise between the Open Country M/T maximum traction tire and the quieter ride of the Open Country A/T II all-terrain tire, according to the tire maker.

“Our market research revealed many truck, Jeep and SUV owners are looking for a combination of performance and features not available in current mud-terrain or all-terrain tires,” said Roy Bromfield, Toyo Tire U.S.A.'s COO. “What these owners really want is the Toyo Open Country R/T—a premium tire that handles exceptionally well off-road and looks aggressive, but is also quiet and long-lasting enough for everyday driving.”

The Open Country R/T carries a 45,000-mile treadwear warranty and is manufactured in Toyo's factory in White, Ga.

Toyo will launch eight sizes ranging from 17- to 20-inches in wheel diameter with additional sizes to come in early 2015.

The Versado Noir, a premium, all-season touring tire offers a 75,000-mile treadwear warranty with a proprietary silica compound that improves tread life while enhancing wet performance and fuel efficiency, the company said.

The tire also features Toyo's Silent Wall technology in the tread grooves to reduce pipe resonance while the tire travels along the road. The sipe design extends into the main grooves on the outside of the tread to improve performance in the snow, according to Toyo, while the inner portion of the tread has a higher sipe density to further improve traction in both the rain and snow.

The Versado Noir will be available in sizes ranging from 15- to 18-inches in wheel diameter, fitting most popular cars.

Both tires are eligible for Toyo Tires' “No Regrets 45-Day/500-Mile Trial Offer.”
