MAP members offering free brake inspections

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 11, 2014) — Participating member facilities in the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) are offering free brake safety inspections during August as part of Brake Safety Awareness Month.

MAP said the brake inspections will offer motorists a free check of the thickness of their brake pads and linings, plus an opportunity to learn proper brake system care and vehicle maintenance.

MAP is an educational outreach program of the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA).
