ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 7, 2014) — Joseph M. Henmueller, interim president of the Automotive Maintenance & Repair Association (AMRA) since last June, was named the organization's full-time president Aug. 5 by its board of directors.
Mr. Henmueller accepted the interim appointment as president upon the departure of Barry Soltz. Mr. Henmueller has long been associated with AMRA and its Motorist Assurance Program (MAP).
Before becoming interim president, he served as AMRA director of administration; prior to that, he served on the AMRA board and was co-chair of the AMRA/MAP Technical Committee.
“AMRA is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the motorist and the automotive service and repair industry,” said AMRA chair Lynn Parker. “Joe's industry experience and leadership gives AMRA the foundation to grow and support our members.”
