Better taxi/bus flow on tap at SEMA Show

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Aug. 4, 2014) — Persons attending the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show will find improved travel connections to and from the Las Vegas Convention Center, thanks to new transportation hubs being organized.

All shuttle and taxi cab pick-ups and drop-offs for the convention center will be at one of the new transportation hubs:  the Gold Pavilion located near the North Hall and Silver 4 located near the South Hall, in the parking lot to the east of the Renaissance Hotel parking.

“As the landscape of the SEMA Show changes, modifications are made to better accommodate the industry's needs and to improve the overall show experience,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of events and communications.

“These transportation hubs make it easier for attendees to get in and out of the SEMA Show, so that they can spend more time connecting with partners and focusing on doing business.”

The transportation hubs will be surrounded by additional displays and features. SEMA Show organizers are working with transportation officials to set up the area so that shuttle buses and taxi cabs flow in and out of the area quickly.

Free shuttle bus service is provided on show days between the convention center and most hotels offered through the Official SEMA Show Housing provider. Las Vegas also offers a monorail connection from many Las Vegas Strip hotels to the convention center.

The 2014 SEMA Show runs Nov. 4-7.
