SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—Automotive repair and maintenance franchisor Honest-1 Auto Care said it is the “first national full-service auto care company” to implement a nationwide three-year, 36,000-mile repair warranty.
Each of Honest-1 Auto Care's 41 franchised locations across the U.S. will participate in the new warranty program administered by Westminster, Colo.-based Automotive Business Solutions (ABS) Inc., which provides tailored warranty and road-hazard solutions to thousands of dealers in all 50 states, according to its website.
Honest-1 said its new warranty program provides customers with service and parts replacement coverage at its own outlets, along with 35,000 other authorized repair facilities across the U.S. ABS' website lists clients such as O'Reilly Automotive Inc., American Tire Distributors Holdings Inc., Parts Plus and Federated Auto Parts.
If a replacement part or repair does not perform as expected, the customer is able to call a toll free number and be referred to a nearby shop where the part will be replaced at no cost.

The warranty program covers a variety of repairs and services, such as air conditioning, heating and climate control; brakes; engine cooling; electrical, including the starting and charging systems; engine performance, driveability services and repair; exhaust; fuel; ignition; electronic engine management and on-board computer systems; cruise control; steering/suspension, wheel bearings, CV joints/U-joints, half-shafts and driveshafts; and other minor repairs.
