ENSCHEDE, Netherlands (Aug. 1, 2014) — Apollo Tyres Ltd. has appointed Seshu Bhagavathula as its new chief technology officer.
Mr. Bhagavathula will spearhead the global initiatives for the company on tire technology, research and new product development for both passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle tires, Apollo said. He will be assisted by the firm's research, technology and design teams across the world.
His last role was with Great Wall Motor Co. in China, where Mr. Bhagavathula served as vice president for research and development. Before that, he spent a large part of his career with Daimler A.G. at multiple locations, where he was responsible for product development and integration of engineering processes.
He will be based out of Apollo's global research and development center in Enschede.
Apollo has appointed Mr. Bhagavathula to its management board.
