Federated customers to 'Get Dirty with Kenny'

STAUNTON, Va. (July 31, 2014) — Federated Auto Parts' Federated Car Care program has chosen five customers as winners in the parts distributor's annual Federated “Get Dirty with Kenny” sweepstakes.

Contest winners will get the chance to dirt track race against NASCAR and dirt track racer Kenny Schrader at the Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway in Peverly, Mo.

First, they'll get to sit in a skybox at Busch Stadium in St. Louis for a baseball game, Federated said, and then hit the track the next day. The company did not specify when the event will take place.

Winners are: Independence, La.-based Billy's Auto Repair; Top Performance Automotive, Vancouver, Wash.; Minneapolis-based East Hennepin Auto Care; Knight Automotive, Crown Point, Ind.; and Ken's Auto Care, Alexandria, Ky. Each winner will be accompanied on the trip by their Federated Auto Parts member.

Besides participating in the race, winners also will have the

opportunity to learn from Mr. Schrader about dirt track racing and get a behind-the-scenes look at the racing business, including a tour of the Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway.

“We hope these ‘Get Dirty' winners are ready for action because Kenny Schrader doesn't mess around when it comes to dirt track racing,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated.

“We know they will have a weekend of memories that will last a lifetime, and they could not have a better teacher and host than Kenny. Most importantly, we want to thank them for being loyal Federated Car Care customers and for their continued support.”

The Federated Car Care Center program is a nationwide network of independently-owned repair facilities.
