LEBANON, Tenn. (July 25, 2014) — Sumerel Tire Service in Newport, Ky., expanded its operations recently with the opening of its Wilson County Tire & Retreading stand-alone retread plant in Lebanon.

The new state-of-the-art facility, which utilizes Marangoni Tread North America Inc.'s Ringtread system, held its open house July 23. The event featured a plant tour, “Spot the Retread” contest and an “Out of Service” tire demonstration, Marangoni said.

Attendees also were provided lunch and could enter a drawing for the chance to win a set of eight commercial truck tires or four super singles to be retreaded using the Ringtread system on the winner's own casings. Guests included fleets, local and state government officials and members of the media.

Marangoni and Wilson County Tire associates guided guests on a step-by-step tour that explained the process of creating a retreaded tire from delivery to finish using the Ringtread system. Each station provided additional video demonstrations along with explanations from guides.

Wilson County Tire & Retreading will offer fleets new and retreaded tires, along with a mounted-wheel program, drive-up service and pickup and delivery.

Rick Majewksi, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of retreading, fleet and service knowledge, serves as vice president of Wilson County Tire, Marangoni said.
