INDUSTRY, Calif. (July 16, 2014) — Steve Hughes, president of government affairs, supplier development and logistics for aftermarket brake components and systems manufacturer Centric Parts, has been appointed to the California Automotive Wholesalers Association (CAWA) Manufacturers Advisory Council.
Mr. Hughes has been part of the automotive industry for more than 40 years, holding positions with IMPAC, HCS International and Advanced Engine Management before joining Centric Parts in 2006.
He represents the company as a member of the Brake Manufacturers Council, SAE Brake Dynamometer Committee, Brake Materials Environmental Task Force, Brake Rotor Task Force Committee and the Brake Linings Standards Committee, Centric Parts said.
“It is a great honor for Centric Parts and for myself, personally, to be asked to participate in CAWA in this way,” Mr. Hughes said. “The whole Centric team has taken a very active role in helping the industry on many fronts, and we are always glad to participate when asked.
