TBC adds 7 sizes to Sumitomo Touring LS line

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (July 18, 2014) — TBC Corp.'s wholesale division is expanding its Sumitomo brand offerings with the introduction of seven new sizes to its Touring LS broad line touring program.

These additions, which will available in September, follow the launch earlier this year of the Sumitomo HTR Enhance performance-touring line.

The new sizes, branded as Sumitomo Touring LX T/H/V, target key late-model SUV and CUV fitments in 17- and 18-inch rim diameters and enhance both the market coverage and value proposition of the Touring LS/LX line, TBC said.

With these additions, the line will consist of 38 T-, H- and V-speed-rated sizes in 15- through 18-inch rim diameters.

“With the expansion of the Touring LS line into these key SUV and crossover fitments, as well the recent completion of the HTR Enhance full-line launch, the Sumitomo program offers both tire dealers and consumers a comprehensive “better-best” touring tire lineup that matches the best in the industry,” said Jon Vance, TBC Wholesale senior director of product marketing. “Add in Sumitomo's superior technology, top-tier performance, extended-warranty support and exceptional affordability and you have the very definition of touring tire value.”

The Touring LX carries a 50,000-mile limited treadwear warranty and is also covered by a two-year free roadside assistance program for tire-related issues. Additionally, the Touring LS features free replacement for workmanship and material defects over the life of the tire.

The new sizes are:  255/55R18 105V; 235/60R17 102T; 235/60R18 103H; 245/60R18 105T; 265/60R18 110T; 245/65R17 107T; and 265R17 112T.
