MIAMI (July 15, 2014) — Tire Group International L.L.C. (TGI) has made two hires to strengthen its domestic division and international team.
In the U.S., TGI hired Kevin O'Brien, most recently a vice president with Ameriquest Transportation, to be vice president of strategic accounts. He brings more than 20 years' tire and trucking industry experience to the job.
“I'm very excited about this new opportunity and to join the TGI family. I'm looking forward to expanding our footprint in the OE and fleet business in the U.S, continuing to provide clients best-in-class service and tailored solutions,” Mr. O'Brien said.
Joaquin Gonzalez Jr., TGI's chief marketing officer, said Mr. O'Brien's appointment “is a sign of our commitment to continue providing best-in-class service while offering affordable tire solutions.”
He'll be tasked with helping develop TGI's growing portfolio of regional and national accounts.
Internationally, TGI has hired Rishi Raj Bhatnagar as a territory manager, covering the African market.
Mr. Bhatnagar brings more than 25 years' tire and retreading industry experience to TGI. Most recently he handled business development for Vizzoni Auto United J.L.T. in India. Prior to that he held commercial and marketing positions with a number of African/Middle Eastern concerns.
“(Mr. Bhatnagar) has a proven track record and vast knowledge of the African and Asian markets,” Mr. Gonzalez said. “He shares our values and our focus on growth, and he places the same strong emphasis on the customer's experience.”
TGI said Mr. Bhatnagar will work closely with the company's international sales manager, Sherko Hajrasouli, to continue developing and growing the African market.
