Centric names Wu supplier quality engineer

INDUSTRY, Calif. (July 8, 2014) — Aftermarket brake components and systems manufacturer Centric Parts has hired industry veteran Tim Wu for the newly created position of supplier quality engineer.

Mr. Wu's work experience includes stints at tier 1 OEM automotive suppliers in transmission, suspension and NASCAR engine building, according to Centric Parts, along with time spent with Sixxon Precision Machinery Co. Ltd., Fox Factory Inc., TRD (Toyota Racing Development) and Moog Aircraft Group.

According to Centric Parts, Mr. Wu bring a “wealth of knowledge and experience,” including AS9100, AIAG-ISO/TS16949 quality system management, cost reduction strategic global sourcing,

new product development product management, Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing certification, DFM/FMEA and CAD Model Based Inspection validation.

“We are excited to welcome Tim aboard,” said Steve Ruiz, director of engineering for Centric Parts. “He will be a great addition to our engineering team because of his experience in PPAP/APQP, DFSS and supply chain quality management.”

Mr. Ruiz added that Mr. Wu will be responsible for expanding and refining Centric Parts' comprehensive approach to “process documentation and quality planning with our suppliers.”
