SCORE racers to 'off-road' at SEMA Show

LAS VEGAS (June 26, 2014) — SCORE International is bringing a little bit of its legendary flagship event, the Baja 1000, to the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show this fall.

Drivers from the racing organization will hold off-road activities at the trade show in Las Vegas throughout the week of Nov. 4-7, culminating with the 2014 SCORE Baja 1000 live race qualifying event.

The SEMA Show SCORE Baja 1000 Experience will include a 70,000-sq.-ft. desert racing exhibit outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center's South Hall. The display will include dozens of Baja 1000 Trophy Truck and Class 1 race vehicles, exhibits from leading off-road and desert racing companies, the SCORE transporter, a huge stage, a massive SCOREvision where SCORE Dirt Live HD will be streaming, press conferences, autograph sessions and an interactive SCORE Baja pit crew competition area, SEMA said.

Trophy Truck qualifying for the 2014 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 will take place on Nov. 4 on a specially designed course around Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) that will start and finish on the LVMS off-road track. The 3.6-mile course will incorporate off-road, dirt and asphalt elements, use two race courses and require the drivers to turn on their lights and qualify in the darkness.
