Is there one tool company that is better than the rest?
“From soft drink choices to tools, everyone has their favorites. The best tool for you will be one that you truly believe in. That psychological impact will reflect in how it performs for you. It's like a scoop of Neapolitan ice cream. Everyone tolerates two of the flavors, only to enjoy their favorite, the third. Your best tool company is going to be your favorite ‘flavor.'”
I was checking out this week's tool flyer and noticed that they are selling barbeque kits. Why? This is a tool catalogue, not a home improvement store.
“Almost all tool companies spotlight seasonal stuff in their handouts. And, some techs do purchase these items. Some purchase to collect the unique items with a tool company name. Others, well, they just buy it and use the kit for their next barbeque. Needless to say, marketing departments have determined that techs will not only buy tools from the truck, but other non-automotive items.”
