LONDON (June 10, 2014) — Frost & Sullivan Inc. is organizing an online conference on June 19 on “e-Retailing” of automotive parts and services, a business model the research company said it expects will experience double-digit growth in North America and Europe by 2020.

The market will witness not only higher online sales, but also will see new ways of aftersales fulfillment, such as mobile service, remote repair, social buying, and so on, Frost & Sullivan said. These developments offer new revenue opportunities for various aftermarket stakeholders but not without significant challenges as well.

Kumar Saha, a principal with Frost & Sullivan, will host the online conference, scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. BST (11 a.m. EDT). Mr. Saha, who recently completed an analysis on this subject, will present the top trends and the challenges that will shape the global e-Retailing automotive aftermarket during the coming years, Frost & Sullivan said.

“While both North America and Europe will experience strong growth in online parts sales throughout 2020, their growth trajectories will be markedly different,” Mr. Saha said. “The U.S.A. will continue to see dominance of the likes of Amazon, while local participants (Oscaro, Delticom) and traditional retailers in Europe will make the most of online growth.”

According to Frost & Sullivan's research, automotive parts sales will exceed $40 billion in developed countries by 2020.

To register for this complimentary briefing, contact Chiara Carella, corporate communications, at [email protected]. A recorded version will also be available after the conference.

The presentation will be followed by a live question-and-answer session with the analyst.
