GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 30, 2014) — Michelin North America Inc. has been named the official tire for Hooked On Driving (HOD).
HOD is a provider of performance driving programs throughout the Northeast U.S., Southern states, Florida, Great Lakes region, Pacific Northwest and California. Its customers range from new performance drivers in completely stock cars to experienced drivers operating advanced track and race cars.
The company also is partnered with General Motors Co.'s Corvette division to provide test rides in the new C7 Corvette Stingray Z51.
Michelin, a technical partner for Corvette Racing, is the exclusive OE provider for the new C7 Corvette, which is fitted with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. The tire will be used exclusively on HOD demonstrator Corvettes.
HOD founder David Ray said the partnership will allow it to be creative in leveraging the “connection between Michelin products and programs.
“We also see opportunities for technical education, race event promotions, added technical support and many other ways to benefit HOD drivers.”
