LA VERGNE, Tenn. (May 27, 2014) — Hennessy Industries Inc.'s Coats brand has added to its lineup the 1100 Series of wheel balancers, featuring two new balancer models, the 1100 and the 1150-2D.
Each offers a redesigned user interface for fast and simple balancing, the firm said, and includes features such as direct balancing mode selection; multiple balancing modes; an auto-start hood; dual operator mode for improved shop workflow; and match balance technology, which determines the optimal position of the tire on the rim to minimize corrective weight.
The 1150-2D also features automatic distance and diameter data entry, a Direct Tape-A-Weight measurement function and Behind the Spoke weight placement, which Coats said takes the guesswork out of adhesive weight balancing and gives alloy wheels a clean look.
Finally, both balancers feature Coats' Direct Drive system, which integrates the balancer's robust motor and spindle into a single, factory pre-balanced assembly, the firm said. The balancers also feature Coats' Static-On-Screen technology, an exclusive feature that simultaneously displays both static and dynamic unbalance data.
“The 1100 Series features two key balancing technologies, including our patented Direct Drive system and our Static-On-Screen display,” said Kevin Keefe, Hennessy Industries' vice president of marketing. “What makes the 1100 Series models special is the way these two technologies work to provide a fast and accurate balance.”
