ESSEN, Germany (May 27, 2014) — The organizers of the Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo are planning to bring their franchise to the U.S. in the form of the World Tire & Retread Expo, scheduled for April 15-17, 2015, in New Orleans.
Gustavo Lima, CEO of Oriente Triangle Latin America Inc. and Latin Expo Group L.L.C., disclosed his plans to stage a “show and sell” trade show in the U.S. in Essen, where Latin Expo Group is promoting the 2014 Latin American & Caribbean Tyre Expo in Panama City, Panama, July 23-25.
In literature announcing the show, World Tire Expo states: “North America…is the largest tire market in the world, and we tire industry professionals do not have our own exclusive tire expo.”
The literature does not specifically reference other industry trade shows, such as the Specialty Equipment Market Association/Tire Industry Expo held annually in Las Vegas, the International Tire Exhibition & Conference Tire Dealers/Auto Service (ITEC) scheduled for Aug. 20-22 in Orlando, Fla., or the Automechanika Chicago, scheduled for Chicago April 24-26, 2015.
“Now at the World Tire & Retread Expo, we finally have our own tire and retread expo, a place where we can all talk tires and only tires,” World Tire Expo said. Our goal is to bring together tire and retread business professionals together so that they can buy and sell to each other without any distractions.”
The World Tire Expo will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Show organizers have set up a dedicated website, www.worldtireexpo.com, for inquiries.
