NACE/CARS boost training program

COLLEYVILLE, Texas (May 16, 2014) — The organizers of the NACE/CARS Expo & Conference for 2014 have put together a training and education conference program of more than 80 presentations for the show running July 30–Aug. 2 at the COBO Center in Detroit.

Now in its 32nd year, the NACE (International Autobody Congress and Exposition) and CARS (Congress of Automotive Repair and Service) expo features numerous opportunities for technical training, business and management education, demonstrations, networking and technology showcases for stakeholders, owners, managers and technicians in the collision and mechanical repair industries, according to event organizers.

The shows, which run concurrently, are sponsored by the Automotive Service Association (ASA).

With telematics being such a hot issue, CARS said it will offer a six-hour dedicated program—the Technology & Telematics Forum—on Aug. 1, sponsored by the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers.

“Investing in training to ensure a proper repair and remain current with today's technology is a requirement,” said Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director.

“Your customers and the success of your business are dependent upon your commitment to ongoing education.”
