LANSDALE, Pa. (April 28, 2014) — Bearings and seals maker SKF USA Inc. has struck a deal with Team Penske to be a co-sponsor at selected races on Penske's NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide and Verizon IndyCar series teams this season.
The sponsorship package includes three races as primary sponsor of Ryan Blaney's No. 12 Ford Fusion Sprint Cup car, two races as co-primary sponsor of Ryan Blaney's No. 22 Ford Mustang in the Nationwide series (primary sponsors include Discount Tire and Hertz Car Rental) and throughout the IndyCar season as an associate sponsor on Helio Castroneves' No. 3 Dallara/Chevrolet.
The sponsorship started April 25 at the ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Va., where Mr. Blaney finished ninth. The next race will be at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn., on Aug. 22.
The Sprint Cup program covers races at Kansas Speedway on May 10, Michigan International Speedway on June 15 and Talladega Superspeedway on Oct. 19.
Mr. Blaney, 21, is in his third season with Team Penske.
The deal also includes a sponsorship position on Team Penske's other NASCAR Sprint Cup cars — Brad Keselowski's No. 2 Miller Lite and Joey Logano's No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusions, as well as on the No. 22 Discount Tire/Hertz/Snap-On Mustang driven throughout the season my Messrs. Keselowski, Logano and Blaney.
