AKRON (April 24, 2014) — One of the many new features at the 2014 International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC) Tire Dealers/Auto Service event in Orlando, Fla., is a Young Tire Dealers Panel.
For young people working in family-owned and independent tire dealerships, the challenges include not only trying to grow the business in an increasingly competitive marketplace, but taking a greater leadership role in the business. Other concerns: How—and whether—to keep up with rapidly changing technology; and if there is even a future for independent tire dealers.
The chairmen of ITEC Tire Dealers/Auto Service and Young Tire Dealers Panel moderator Jeff Wallick, director of training and development for K & M Tire Inc., are inviting input from young people working at independent dealerships. What are your questions or concerns? For what problems do you need solutions? Perhaps you've already figured out how to add innovation to the traditional core values of your company. Why not join the young dealers panel and share your insights?
Send an email to ITEC Chairman Ray Evans at [email protected] or Vice Chairman Hank Inman at [email protected] with your topic suggestions or to propose yourself or someone else for the young dealers panel.
The conference and trade show take place Aug. 20-22 at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel in Orlando, Fla. For more information or to register to attend, visit the ITEC conference website.
