GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 23, 2014) — Guy Pekle, president and CEO of Tire Centers L.L.C. (TCi) since 2010, will transition to a new role with TCi parent company Group Michelin, effective Sept. 1, and will move back to France.

He will be replaced at TCi by Don Byrd, vice president of marketing for passenger car and light truck tires in North America, according to Michelin.

In his new role, Mr. Pekle will be in charge of the account management, demand-to-cash and go-to-market process in the tire maker's Commercial Performance Department.

Mr. Pekle joined Michelin in October 1986, serving in roles such as president of Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., president of Michelin Retread Technologies (Canada) Inc. and vice president of commercial sales for Michelin North America's Michelin Americas Truck Tires division.

He joined TCi in 2010, replacing Joe Finney.

Mr. Byrd has been with Michelin since May 2009, joining the Greenville-based tire maker from Procter & Gamble, according to his LinkedIn page.
