STAUNTON, Va. (April 21, 2014) — Federated Auto Parts is anticipating a record number of Federated members and suppliers will attend its upcoming national membership meeting, April 30 -May 3 in Phoenix.
During the meeting, Federated members will have a chance to attend sessions focusing on topics such as technology, inventory management, employee healthcare and marketing programs. In addition, they will be able to receive updates from select manufacturers on their latest product offerings during the Federated Vendor Expo, which has been expanded for 2014, the firm said.
The meeting will include a keynote speech by Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), which will include an update on the automotive service industry.
On May 1, Federated will host its annual awards dinner to honor program members, vendors and technicians with such acknowledgements as Outstanding Vendor of the Year, the Art Fisher Memorial Membership Award and the Federated Shop of the Year presentation. Federated also will hold its annual Toys for Tots auction during the dinner.
“Our annual meeting is a valuable chance for our members and suppliers to get together and share ideas, opportunities and strategies for the coming year, as well as celebrate recent accomplishments,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated. “We are very fortunate to have a strong, active membership that takes advantage of this time together to interact, learn and help each other be successful.”
Prior to the official start of the meeting, the Federated Co-man Council and board of governors will convene, the firm said.
