Doublestar adds 4 SmartWay verified tires, plans more

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (April 8, 2014) — Doublestar Tire Corp. recently added four SmartWay verified truck tires, covering all three wheel positions, to its line offerings and is planning to launch two more, the company said.

Now available are:

• The DSR266 all-position tire, in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.4, LP22.5, LP24.5, 225/75R17.5, 235/75R17.5, 245/70R19.5, 265/70R19.5, 275/70R22.5, 275/80R22.5 and 315/80R22.5;
• The DSR728 drive tire, in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5, LP22.5 and LP24.5;
• The DSR116 trailer tire, in sizes 217/75R17.5, 235/75R17.5, 245/70R19.5, 265/70R19.5, 11R22.5, 11R24.5, LP22.5 and LP24.5; and
• The DSR355 drive tire, in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5, LP22.5 and LP24.5.

In addition, two other models — an all-position tire and a drive tire — are under review by the Environmental Protection Agency for SmartWay verification and could be available in about a month, Doublestar said.

Doublestar tires can be purchased by container load directly from China or through the company's U.S. warehouse locations in Memphis, Tenn., and Rancho Cucamonga, according to the tire marketer, a subsidiary of China's Qingdao Doublestar Tyre Co. Ltd.
