LOS ANGELES (April 7, 2014) — The Independent Tire Dealers Group L.L.C.'s (ITDG) board of directors has extended the contract of Mike Cox, the organization's CEO and president, through Dec. 31, 2018.
The Group's board of directors voted unanimously to offer the contract extension to Mr. Cox at their March 13 meeting, held in Los Angeles.
Since joining the dealer group in 2003, Mr. Cox “has taken ITDG from being a small regional player to a nationally respected organization” representing more than 500 tire and automotive service locations in 34 states, the board said.
“The board felt that providing for Mr. Cox's continued services is in the best interest of the company and its shareholders.”
ITDG members carry a range of brands including Continental, General, Cooper, GT Radial, Hankook, Pirelli, Sumitomo and Yokohama, and also is the exclusive distributor of the Diamondback tire line. The group said it also offers a full complement of auto parts, insurance and other product lines to support its diverse membership.
